The Lahaina Cat Fundraiser
Artful Surfboards is proud to present the 2023 one-and-only sculpture using many reclaimed surfboard parts. This sculpture, entitled “Lahaina Cat” is made by hand and follows the watercraft theme from 2022. This sculpture will be put up for auction on Instagram and Facebook in an effort to raise money for the victims of the 2023 Maui wildfires. The charity recipient of the funds raised will be the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement who will utilize these funds to help the estimated 2,400+ families or 6,200+ individuals who are still in need of housing after being displaced by the Maui wildfires.
This auction will run from 12:01 am PST on January 23rd to 12:01 am on February 6th. 100% of the proceeds above $250 (to cover shipping and materials) will be donated to the CFNHA organization.
To bid, just leave a $ dollar amount in the comments on either social media site with your bid. The winner will be announced on February 23rd after the winner has been contacted. Entrants who place a bid in this auction agree to be held to their bid amount should they win this auction. The bidding will start at $250. Bids should be placed in $10 dollar (US) increments or more. This Fundraiser/auction is only available for residents of the United States.

Lahaina Cat front side view
The Catamaran sculpture is mostly made from recycled surfboard parts and has resin cloth for the sails and deck. The overall size of this sculpture measures 21.5” H x 9”w x 21.5” L.

Note how the Catamaran sits half off of its base at a 19 degree angle. This sculpture was the only one produced in 2023 making it more valuable as it is a one-of-one.
Lahaina Cat sails details
The main sail has a painted silhouette of the island of Maui with a white heart placed at the location of the town of Lahaina. The Jib sail has the number"23" painted in white. This represents the year it was made.
